Kawasan Olahraga Dayung Di Kota Kendari Dengan Penekanan Arsitektur Tepi Air (Waterfront)

Abstract

The Rowing Sports Complex is designed as a supporting facility for rowing activities and as a tourism area in Kendari City. Southeast Sulawesi Province relies heavily on rowing in national championships such as PON; however, the absence of adequate facilities has hindered athlete training and led many athletes to relocate to regions with better infrastructure. Therefore, this planning aims to establish a sports complex integrated with the waterfront environment of Kendari City. The concept applied is Waterfront Architecture, which emphasizes design orientation toward the water. The complex is located on Jl. Ir. Hj. Alala, Lahundape Subdistrict, West Kendari District, with a site area of 13.5 hectares. The main facilities include male and female athlete dormitories, spectator stands, a monitoring tower, a boathouse, and Green Open Space (RTH). It is expected that this complex will serve as a solution for training and competition needs in rowing, while also functioning as a recreational area for the community.
