South Koawe currently does not have a single market that adopts one hundred percent modern in terms of façade and arrangement or is still mixed materials such as wood and rumbia roofing but there are also those that use zinc roofs and spandek, if we trace the streets of South Konawe, we will only find those markets that have a shabby arrangement, as well as not organized according to norms in the market.
a fairly dense population of 20,155 people with a density of 73 people / km² and has three number of markets that are always crowded with visitors. However, the three markets do not run every day, as well as the large number of street vendors located in Laeya District.
So it is necessary to have a place that can accommodate sellers with a neatly arranged concept and can bring a comfortable impression in transactions, and be able to become a shopping icon in South Konawe, especially in Laeya District.
With the application of Contemporary Architecture in the Laeya Market, it is expected to be able to provide a modern look in terms of arrangement and façade thus can become a shopping icon in South Konawe, especially in Laeya District.
