Pusat Kesenian Muna di Raha Dengan Penekanan Arsitektur Muna

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the boundaries between the state and culture are increasingly blurred, which raises various cultural problems. The meeting between cultures causes changes and shifts in the form of culture, including in the field of architecture. Behind the challenges of globalization, a global paradoxical phenomenon has emerged, where local values are increasingly valued and believed to have high attractiveness. The cultural diversity that exists in each region needs to be preserved through education and cultural inheritance. In Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, which has many tribes and cultures, traditional arts are often staged sporadically and are not well organized. Therefore, a forum such as the Muna Traditional Arts Center is needed to support the preservation and organization of these cultural arts. This arts center is specially designed to facilitate performances of oral traditions, various customs, traditional knowledge and technology, regional languages, and traditional sports. This research uses the grounded theory method with a qualitative approach, which is in accordance with the purpose and focus of the writing. The data used came from primary and secondary sources. In the planning of the building space of the Muna Arts Center, attention is paid to the activities of visitors and managers. The design of this building integrates elements of Muna art, namely *kaghati* (kite), which is then transformed through traditional architectural concepts and combines local architectural elements with modern architecture.
