Abstract

Industrial developments in Indonesia have given rise to new companies that need space or a place to use as an office that can receive, record, organize information, and protect the company's own assets or property. In a company, the office plays an important role as a forum for the company to demonstrate its legality so that it can be trusted by business partners.
However, when building your own office, various problems arise, such as requiring quite a lot of money, plus quite a long work time, and the image of the new office reduces client trust. Shophouses and houses have changed their function to offices so that work activities are ineffective, because shophouses and houses are less able to meet the needs of office activities such as offices in Kendari City.
The convenience, comfort and increased security provided by the smart building concept are steps to improve services in buildings to support modern business activities which can be applied from various aspects to building utilities by increasing the efficiency of energy use, the use of digital electronic devices, increasing security in buildings, reducing human error and wireless networks. The Smart Building concept can cut energy usage by between 20% to 50% in a building, this is very useful and makes it easier to manage the building so it is more efficient. The architectural method used is to use the required data.
So the results that can be achieved from designing a rental office are to provide a forum for companies in Kendari City and also have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
By looking at the current problem, namely the number of offices in Southeast Sulawesi Province, especially in Kendari City, which appear to still be rented in houses or shophouses as offices, with basic building shapes, and not paying attention to the surrounding environment
