Redesain Perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Konawe Dengan Penekanan Arsitektur Modern Minimalis

Abstract

In the current era, science has experienced very rapid development. This factor is fully supported by technological support which makes it easier for people to access information efficiently. However, it cannot be denied that information that is easily accessible makes ordinary people unable to differentiate between true and false scientific information. The Konawe Regency Government has provided a regional library as a means of providing accurate and reliable sources of information and knowledge, but currently the library is no longer able to attract the public's attention and interest in visiting with various forms of criticism of the library building expressed by the public, including: regarding the unattractive appearance of the building, the lack of supporting facilities, and the difficulty of finding the books needed due to the unavailability of search technology tools, as well as several building structures that have decayed due to age, thus threatening the safety of the building's users. When the author reviewed architectural developments applied to various types and functions of buildings in Konawe district, the author concluded that the modern minimalist architectural style was the form desired by the community considering that this architectural style was applied to several buildings and received positive comments.
