Abstract

The development of increasingly diverse photography styles, frequent gatherings of photography communities, are indicators of the rapid development of the world of photography. In Kendari City, the number of people interested in the art of photography can be seen from the group that is part of the social media Facebook, namely the Indonesian Photography Community (KFI). More than 400 thousand members regularly share their photos on the KFI Facebook page. Starting from beginner photographers to professional photographers, they exchange feedback on photos uploaded by members.
Good architecture should be able to respond to the needs of the surrounding community. Therefore, there is a desire to design a photography area space to be able to facilitate photography and Videography activities which are starting to develop in the city of Kendari. Creating spaces that can respond, inspire and support diverse photography activities is a design demand in itself.
To be able to produce products that can respond, inspire and support photography activities, the design of this building uses an emphasis on natural & artificial lighting elements. Natural lighting is lighting that comes from sunlight from the sky. With Natural Lighting, less energy is needed and less pollution is released into the environment.
